I have to acquaint you

that Lords
has communicated to me a
copy of Sir Henry Pottinger's despatch to his Lordship, N. 27. of the 9th of December, respecting certain proceedings which had been held in Wong kong relative to
a murder alleged to have been
committed in the Island by
Chinese, natives of the Island, and therefore subject to the British Crown.
With regard to the course of these proceedings Lord Hamby will doubtless
if he sees occasion, communicate to
you his opinion, and I should hardly
